Colossus

Colossus is a record breaking roller coaster that will turn you upside down ten times!

When Colossus opened in 2002 it was the first roller coaster in the world to feature ten inversions, beating the previous record of eight, set by the Dragon Khan at Port Aventura, which opened in 1995.

There is now another roller coaster that has the same amount of inversions, called the Tenth Ring Roller Coaster. However, this is an exact replica of Colossus, whilst you'd have to travel over 5900 miles to Guangzhou, China, to reach it - you're probably best off heading to Thorpe Park!

Back on Colossus you'll hurtle around the track at speeds 45 mph, and go through huge loops and quick twirls, until you reach the climax of a quadruple corkscrew. If you can walk in a straight line immediately afterwards then you'll be doing well!
