The world's first horror movie-themed rollercoaster, SAW - The Ride features a 'beyond vertical' drop from a terrifying height of 100ft and three full inversions.

Gerstlauer's design features individual carts with two rows of four seats each. Over shoulder restraints are used to ensure riders safety and as this is SAW - The Ride, even the restraints have a touch of horror.

The rollercoaster is based on the popular SAW horror movie franchise, the first installment of which was released in 2004. Since then the franchise has spawned a further four films with a sixth currently in pre-production, a comic book, a video game due for winter 2009 release and a promotional short film.

SAW - The Ride is the latest addition the unstoppable SAW franchise, with a top speed of roughly 55mph, a 'head-chopper effect', an immelman loop, a dive loop, an airtime hill and some of the most gruesome themeing in rollercoaster history it promises to be the ultimate challenge for thrillseekers.
