Disney World to Hold Diana Exhibition

Part of Disney World Resort in Florida is being turned into an exhibition space to showcase some of the late Princess Diana's dresses and possessions.

Not content with the iconic Beauty's Castle at Disney World, the resort is now set to play host to a collection that aims to celebrate the life of a real life princess. With more than 100 items, the exhibition is being described as the ultimate tribute to the late Princess Diana.

Arranged in vaguely chronological order, the items span from her childhood, through her engagement to Prince Charles, to her role as international philanthropist. Maureen Dunkel, founder of the People's Princess Charitable Foundation, said to the Orlando Sentinel: "I'm trying to hone in on her multiple identities."

Highlights of the exhibition include a letter by Diana as a child, a blanket with a sewn-in tag that reads HRH The Princess of Wales, and a handwritten hair appointment schedule that includes a note about when she would have required tiara-friendly hairdos.

The colourful exhibition will be running at Disney World until the end of November.
