A zoo is trying to raise thousands of pounds to find a breeding partner for two-year-old Boumani, the cheetah.

About 1000 people attended a fundraiser supported by glamour model Jodie Marsh at Eagle Heights zoo in Eynsford, Kent to help purchase a female cheetah for its breeding programme.

The zoo is trying to raise in excess of £7000 to buy a female cheetah from Germany but has thus far only managed to raise £1000.

Boumani ran a five-second sprint to catch his dinner at the fundraising event and is the only cheetah in the UK to run in front of the public.
