Presenter of Living TV's hit ghost show Most Haunted, Jason Karl is set to attend a special Fright Night performance at Alton Towers this April.

Steering clear of the hair-raising roller-coasters, Jason plans to lead a vigil in an attempt to find real ghosts at the family resort.

Jason said last week: "The towers are a magical and mysterious place filled with stories of phantoms.

"What people often do not realise is that when the park guests have left, the towers themselves still seem to reverberate with the spirits of the long past; fuelled by the energy of those who swarm around the building every day."

Hellbent on getting to the heart of some of the chilling stories that surround the towers' turbulent past, Jason will be joined by Ghost Tours UK who will provide the TV celebrity with their latest gadgetry and ghost-detecting instruments.

The spine-tingling ghost hunt will begin on 4 April, 2009. All those who dare to help in the search are invited to join the troupe.
