Walt Disney Co. have launched a new programme, through which it will distribute a million one-day one-park tickets to volunteers.

The "Give A Day, Get a Disney Day" campaign follows this year's "Free on Your Birthday" campaign which saw the park giving free tickets to customers on their birthdays.

The programme will issue free tickets to persons who volunteer at selected charities until 15 December, 2010 or until the one-millionth ticket has been distributed.

From 1 January, guests will be able to sign up for volunteer work through a Disney website which will allow them to select service opportunities from the HandsOn Network which links volunteers with more than 70,00 non profit organisations across the United States.

After completing their community service, the volunteers will receive a voucher, good for a one-day ticket to any of the Disney theme parks at either Walt Disney World of Disneyland.
