Chessington World of Adventures & Zoo has hired a hypnotherapist to help parents overcome their fear of adrenalin-filled rides.

Due to concerns over the number of terrified parents watching the rides from afar, the park have called in professional hypnotherapist Stephen Rigby.

David Smith, General Manager at Chessington World of Adventures said: "We understand that guests can find rollercoasters frightening, however, we pride ourselves on being a family attraction, so it's just as important for adults to enjoy themselves as much as children.

"We hope that Stephen can help parents overcome their coaster phobias and let their hair down on some our of family-friendly coasters."

The one-off session, designed to help people ride the rollercoasters and big dippers without fear, will take place on Friday 9 October, 2009. If it proves a success, the park will consider holding more sessions.
