Camelot Theme Park is offering a chance for children from Wigan and surrounding areas to attend King Arthur's Knight School on 11 July, 2009.

Camelot's Black Knight

30 children aged 6-12 from the North West will be selected by the Chorley theme park. To be in with a chance of a place at Knight School, youngsters must explain in 50 words or less why they think they should be chosen to attend.

Those selected will be taught the subtle art of Knight combat and will learn about the variety of weapons used in the medieval period. They will also be taught juggling skills by Camelot's jester.

Sandra Dempsey, marketing manager for Camelot, described what it takes to make it to Knight School; "We are looking for keen Knights, boys and girls, between the ages of 6 and 12 who have a real interest in all things medieval."

If you live in the North West and would like to learn about Knights, jousting and all things ye olde, email knights@mtjpr.co.uk for more details.
