To help celebrate the start of the Alton Towers 2008 season and the opening of Mutiny Bay, there will be an attempt to break the record for the largest ever gathering of Pirates in one place on the 15th of March.

Mutiny Bay is the brand new Pirate themed area at Alton Towers that will be unveiled when Alton Towers reopens on the 15th of March. To kick off the opening in style Alton Towers will be breaking a world record, and they'll need your help to do it. They need as many people dressed as pirates as possible to help break the record, and this means you! All you need to take part is come along dressed as a pirate!
