A perfect place for a short family break this festive season is Warwick Castle as the castle puts on a special, Victorian themed series of events with "What The Dickens Is Going On At Warwick Castle?"

There'll be plenty of fun for all the family with an amazing array of fantastic themed activities, entertainment and decorations with very first real ice skating trail in the UK. The 250 metre ice skating trail is like no other rink before and takes guests on a journey around through the Peacock Garden with beautiful lights and the majestic backdrop of the castle making it a skating experience like no other.

The festive fun continues inside the Castle too with some spooky fun in Ebeneezer's Haunted tower where ghosts of Victorian Christmases past visit the Ghost Tower in a "live action" ghost story based around Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

The Castle itself will be transformed this Christmas with a stunning selection of decorations. Red and gold decorations along with illuminations, music and hundreds of season plants add to a truly fantastic festive sight. The Great Hall will be welcoming visitors with a 25ft spruce Christmas tree adorned with 1000 lights with storytellers telling tales of Victorian Christmases at the Castle and young singers from local schools singing carols.

"What The Dickens Is Going on at Warwick Castle" will be running from 8th December to 6th January 2008 and the Castle will be open from 10am to 7pm every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Book a family break to Warwick Castle today with Play and Stay.
