West Hembury Farm houses two self-catering cottages perfect for a family holiday in Dorset. One cottage is aimed at couples and only sleeps two with room for a Moses basket whereas the larger Barn Owls Cottage can accommodate up to six guests.

Both cottages are beautiful conversions of an 18th century barn and withhold many charming characteristics of the original buildings. The larger cottage looks out over the large open garden and down into the village of Askerwell. It is possible to hire both cottages at once if you have a larger family.

There are limited facilities on site, West Hembury Farm is more about relaxation than action. The local area does, however, provide much to see and do - from beaches to houses and gardens, and water sports to wildlife parks, there is something to suit every interest level.

And if you want to escape the children for a short while, there is a babysitting service available. This must be booked in advance, prior to your stay.
