On busier days, parents and guardians with small children can collect a free Parent Q-Share pass from Guest Services, which is valid on rides admitting children 1.2m and taller. As one adult queues, the other can entertain the little ones elsewhere. When they've been on the ride, pass over the ticket and the other parent can go straight on the ride via the exit!
At the start of their visit, parents can collect a wristband from Guest Services, which has space to write on your name and mobile phone number. Any children found unattended will be taken to the First Aid Point where staff will call the number on the band.
It might be an idea to plan lunch so that it is not between the busy times at 12pm and 2pm, but there are plenty of places to eat. Our Alton Towers area guide has listings of food outlets located in each area. You can take a little time out, sit down, and boost energy levels at the Courtyard Tavern in Merrie England, the Hogs Head Bar & Grill or the Towers Family Restaurant on Towers Street.
